ABOUT
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the 1st International Symposium on Research in Venomous Animals, scheduled for May 2-5, 2023, in Manaus-Amazonas, Brazil. As the organizing committee, we extend a warm welcome to all attendees of this prestigious event, which will be held at the Amazonia Jungle Hotel, a picturesque location situated just 40 minutes from Manaus by road and 10 minutes by boat on the Ariaú River.
Our primary goal for this symposium is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and knowledge between our research group in Manaus and eminent researchers and students from around the world, working in the field of toxinology. We aim to foster new collaborations, strengthen existing partnerships, and encourage insightful discussions that can lead to innovative solutions and breakthroughs.
Manaus, a vibrant metropolis located in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon, is home to a diverse array of venomous animals, making it an ideal location for this symposium. Moreover, the State of Amazonas is renowned for its cultural richness and is home to many riverside and indigenous communities that possess invaluable knowledge and skills. The symposium will feature oral presentations by masters and doctoral students, showcasing their ongoing research projects at various stages of development. The students will have the opportunity to receive guidance and feedback from experienced senior researchers, and we welcome your participation in this capacity.
In addition to the academic program, the symposium will include a social program that offers attendees an opportunity to explore the gastronomy, culture, natural resources, and handicrafts of Manaus.
